The HysIS satellite will be used for a wide range of applications including agriculture, forestry, soil/geological environments, coastal zones and inland waters, etc. The 30 satellites are one each from Australia, Canada, Colombia, Finland, Malaysia, Netherlands and Spain, and 23 from the USA and the total weight of these satellites was about 261.50 kg. The next big event for the Indian space organisation will be its awaited mission to the moon – Chandrayaan-2 – in early 2019.
