The Department of Posts has issued an order in view of the current lock down and social distancing measures due to Covid-19. The DOP is making a lot of efforts in providing basic postal and financial services to the public during lock down. which are being praised by various sections of society including media.

Postal/savings banks services and Ippb banking services are included in essential services by Home ministry of India.All post offices and ippb branches opened in lock down period .officials may use ID of deptt for ongoing duty points with precaution of corona virus -instructions of GOI.Secretary of Dop issued Do letter to circles head about apprepriations.
